Members meeting: Stephanie Manuel and Shannon Wild
I was really happy to have met Shannon Benson in February during her visit in Mauritius for her wildlife photography workshop! It’s so exciting to meet a member of
Female Nature Photography and continue sharing our passion for nature, photography and also some tips about how to enjoy visiting the island even during a rainy season. Who’s planning to come to Mauritius this year?!
It was an amazing day, meeting with nature lovers and experiencing great encounters with lions, tigers and servals. A big thanks to
Russell MacLaughlin, great wildlife cinematographer for his presence and workshop.
Gabby Salazar: She did a great presentation at the National Geographic Society for Member’s Day. She has been sharing images of leaf-tailed geckos, Telfair’s skinks and flying frogs. A fun and inspiring video from this event was created. Gabby also talked about the incredible recovery of the Mauritius Kestrel.
Arwen Dyer: Her article was published in Dynamic Range. A great magazine about photography tours! Check it out

Marie Read: Her image of a Reddish Egret is a finalist in this year’s
Festival de l’Oiseau et de la Nature Contest, Abbeville, France. It was in the top ten in its category (Artistic Vision of Bird), will be exhibited at the festival this April and submitted to the votes of the exhibition’s visitors for the Public Prize.
Rachael Talibart: Her image was printed in Portfolio 1 of Outdoor Photographer of the Year.
