I have been an avid Scuba Diver since I was 18 years old. In 1998 I saw my first shark in South Africa, and fell madly in love with these misunderstood creatures. It wasn’t until about 10 years later that I got into photography and in the beginning, my aim was to show people how beautiful sharks were and how they were misrepresented by the media.

I am quite passionate about animal rights, and my photography has always been about spreading conservation and awareness.

Baba Dioum said it best “In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught.”
